SION, Iran — The boy who died when a dormitory ceiling collapsed and his 19-month-old daughter fell through it has been identified as a juvenile, according to a report published Tuesday.
The report by the Iranian government’s Ministry of Health and Social Welfare said the child was a juvenile at the time of the accident and that it was still unclear whether he had any previous medical problems.
The ministry said the death of the child and his sister was being investigated.
The ministry said that it would provide more information on the cause of the collapse after receiving the report from experts.
The Ministry of Public Health and Welfare did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
