Japan hosts Japan on Thursday, and hosts England in London on Friday.
It has played four of its five games in the AFC Champions League.
In the opening match of the season, Japan defeated England 1-0.
The hosts will look to build on that performance, as the hosts have lost two of their last three games against England, losing 1-1 in Tokyo and 0-0 in London.
They will be hoping to build off that performance to face the defending champions, United States in a match that could be a major turning point in their campaign.
After taking on Australia in the World Cup qualifier, England is set to host Italy in the first of their four matches in Asia.
The team will be aiming to build a two-goal cushion and move to within a point of second place in the table.
However, the team has been plagued by injury issues in recent weeks and they have not been able to break through to the top four of the group, meaning they are in danger of dropping out of the top eight altogether.
England are a different side to their current form.
They have not won in six matches, including their defeat to the hosts in Tokyo.
They have also not won a match at the top of the Premier League table since November, when they beat West Ham 3-2.
Despite being on a high, the defeat by Australia in their opening match in the Champions League qualifying campaign means that England’s season is now on hold until March.
